Drone thermographic inspection

Drone thermographic inspection uses Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) equipped with high-resolution infrared cameras to detect temperature variations (anomalies) on the surfaces of structures, equipment, and landscapes. This technology translates invisible infrared radiation into thermal images (thermograms), allowing for non-destructive testing and early identification of hidden defects that are invisible to the naked eye. Key Applications Solar Panel Maintenance: Drones identify "hot spots," cell damage, and string outages in photovoltaic systems.. Drone-based inspections can be 97% faster than manual methods, reducing inspection time for a 20MW farm from 500 hours to just 2–4 hours. Building Diagnostics: Identifying heat loss, insulation gaps, air leaks, and moisture intrusion in roofs and facades. Utility & Power Lines: Detecting overheating components in electrical grids, transformers, and substations to prevent fires or outages. Oil, Gas & Pipelines: Monitoring for leaks, corrosion, and structural weaknesses in pipelines and storage tanks. Agriculture: Monitoring crop health by detecting temperature changes that may indicate water stress, disease, or pests.
